Terms & Conditions

1. About these Terms

Scope of Service: Yurandalli provides counselling and social and emotional wellbeing support. We do not provide emergency or crisis services, medico-legal or forensic reports, or formal psychiatric diagnosis. Where a person’s needs fall outside this scope, we may suggest other services or referrals.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Yurandalli website (“Website”).

By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Website.

In these Terms:

  • “you” and “your” mean any person who accesses or uses the Website.

These Terms apply to Website use only. Counselling services you receive from us are subject to separate client agreements and consent forms.

2. Not an emergency or crisis service

Yurandalli is not an emergency or crisis service. Do not use this website or email in an emergency. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department. The information on this Website is general in nature. It is intended to provide broad information about counselling, mental health and our services.

  • It is not tailored to your personal circumstances.

  • It is not a substitute for professional mental health, medical, legal or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment.

You should always seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional about your specific situation. Never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you have read on this Website.

4. Eligibility and acceptable use

You agree that you will:

  • Use this Website for lawful purposes only.

  • Not do anything that may disrupt or interfere with the operation or security of the Website or its servers.

  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, user accounts, or our systems.

  • Not use the Website to send spam, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise harmful content.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or used the Website in a way that is unsafe, unlawful or disruptive.

5. Online contact and booking forms

This Website may offer online forms for enquiries and appointment requests.

  • Submitting a form does not guarantee that we can accept you as a client or offer a particular appointment time.

  • Appointments are confirmed only when we contact you to confirm the booking or send a booking confirmation.

  • Technology issues (e.g. email filters, connection problems) may affect form delivery. If you do not hear from us within a reasonable time, please follow up by phone or email.

You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date contact details so we can respond.

If you become a counselling client of Yurandalli, you will also be asked to read and agree to our Client Consent, Privacy & Screening Policy. If there is any difference between that document and these Website Terms, the Client Consent, Privacy & Screening Policy will apply to your counselling relationship with us.

6. Fees, services and consumer rights

Any information on our Website about services, fees or availability is general and may change over time.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the ACL, we may:

  • Change or update information about services, fees or availability at any time; and

  • Correct any errors or omissions on the Website without prior notice.

Information about cancellations, missed appointments and refunds is set out in our Refunds, Cancellations and Missed Appointments Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By booking or attending an appointment, you agree to that policy.

Acknowledgment of Country

As a Gamilaraay Murri living and working on Dharawal Country, I acknowledge the Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters where Yurandalli is grounded. I honour the strength, wisdom and leadership of Dharawal peoples, and the ongoing connections to Country, language, story, kin and spirituality that continue to thrive here. I pay my deepest respects to Elders past and present, and to the young people who are carrying culture forward in their own ways.

I also acknowledge my own Gamilaraay kin, Country and ancestors, whose courage, creativity and community care shape the way I walk alongside clients, families and communities. Yurandalli is guided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing, and is committed to amplifying First Nations voices, solutions and healing practices. Our work is one small part of the long story of First Nations survival, joy, resistance and renewal.
