NO TO VIOLENCE

I provide counselling support to individuals affected by Domestic Family & Sexual Violence & people who use violence seeking change

I’m here to offer compassionate, professional support for anyone impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence. As a counsellor, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my practice. My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapies and enriched by my First Nations background, ensuring that you receive care that is both effective, inclusive and culturally sensitive.

How I Can Help You?

I understand that domestic, family, and sexual violence can impact each person differently, whether you’re experiencing it now or have survived it in the past. If you’re using violence and want to change, I’m also here to support you on that journey. My services are tailored to meet your unique needs, and I’m committed to creating a safe and respectful environment where healing can begin.

Here’s how I can help:

  • Counselling for Survivors of Violence: If you’ve been affected by domestic, family, or sexual violence, I provide a safe and supportive space where you can process your experiences, regain your power, and work towards healing. Together, we’ll explore ways to rebuild your emotional well-being and reclaim your sense of self.

  • Support for Those Who Use Violence: If you’ve used violence in your relationships and are ready to make a change, I can help you understand the root causes of these behaviours. I offer non-judgmental counselling to help you learn new ways to interact with others and foster healthier, non-violent relationships.

  • Culturally Safe, First Nations-Focused Care: As someone from a First Nations background, I integrate traditional knowledge and cultural understanding into my practice. This allows me to provide care that respects your cultural identity and helps create a deeper connection during the healing process. I’m committed to offering culturally safe spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

My Approach: Evidence-Based, Culturally Grounded

In my work, I use a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused, strengths based and person-centred interventions. These therapies have been shown to help individuals recover from trauma, reduce anxiety, and promote positive change. I stay up to date with the latest research in trauma and violence prevention to ensure the care I provide is grounded in proven methods.

At the same time, I draw on my First Nations heritage to offer culturally grounded care that respects your personal and community connections. This combination of evidence-based methods and cultural understanding is central to my practice, and I believe it can make a real difference in your healing journey.
